There is an unwelcome guest in the tank. Bits of hair algae have been overwhelming the plants and rocks. I have begun treating the tank with an overdose of Seachem Flourish Excel and have cut the photo period from 12 hours down to 9 hours. I will be leaving the main tank light unplugged all weekend long, this weekend. Lets see how the algae is on Monday. :|

FishCam4 is up and running nicely. The underwater PTZ controls are working great and algae buildup on the dome has not been bad at all.  We have added six Rainbow Fish (Melanotaenia Boesemani) to the tank. They have been thriving and growing for the last 3 months.

There is a new tank in town! I have set up another 125 at my house. Planted clown loach tank. No camera on it yet. I have a dozen tiger barbs in there as well. All seems happy so far. There is a 55 gallon remote sump with lots of CO2 being pumped in through a ph monitor. So far it is very similar to the existing office tank. Maybe I should broaden my horizons.  In any case, having a tank in the house has been great. I can devote far more time to it than the one in the office.  I don't think that I want a live cam in my house, I may upload a youtube video or two just to document the tank online.

Something new is in the works for the live aquarium. I am testing the new PTZ camera on FishCam 4, It will soon be mounted inside the tank in a dome! It will be the next best thing to scuba diving inside the tank.  The dome has been ordered and when it arrives, it will be installed post haste.

In other news, a better lens is coming for FishCam 3.
